Dezeen celebrates around the world ahead of Dezeen Awards 2024 entry deadline
Earlier this week Dezeen co-hosted dinners in New York City and London to celebrate NYCxDesign and Clerkenwell Design Week respectively ahead of the Dezeen Awards 2024 entry deadline.
Dinners took place on either side of the Atlantic just 24 hours apart, one at the Civilian in New York City's theatre district and another at the Curve Club in London's design district in Clerkenwell. Guests included Lee Broom, Tola Ojuolape, Eny Lee Parker and Michael Bennett among others.
Dezeen and NYCxDesign celebrate a successful week
Kicking off on Sunday in New York City, Dezeen co-hosted an intimate dinner with NYCxDesign in the Civilian hotel's exclusive Rosevale secret garden, designed by Rockwell Group. Dezeen Awards 2024 judges Broom, Bennett and Suchi Reddy were among Dezeen's US guests to join the evening to celebrate this year's festival taking place across the city.
"We are delighted to partner with Dezeen to host a celebration with some of the very finest names in the design industry as we connect and amplify the broad and diverse coalition of design that fuels New York City and indeed, the world," said NYCxDesign executive director Ilene Shaw.
"It's no wonder Dezeen presents illustrious judges and entrants to its awards alike and we are excited to follow Dezeen Awards 2024 as it unfolds."
The dinner took place amidst a busy week in New York City with Dezeen co-hosting more than 10 events during NYCxDesign, including talks and parties with brands including Moroso, Apparatus, Muji and Carl Hansen & Son as part of Dezeen's key activity in the US.
Later in London on Monday, Dezeen welcomed guests to the newly-opened Curve Club in Clerkenwell, designed by female-led interior design studio Kai Interiors.
Guests from the Dezeen Awards community joined to celebrate the start of Clerkenwell Design Week at a dinner co-hosted by Dezeen Awards 2024 residential interiors sponsor Graff.
Joining Ojuolape were also some of the world's leading architecture and design firms and previous Dezeen Awards entrants including Foster + Partners, RSHP, Zaha Hadid Architects and Conran and Partners. Guests networked and enjoyed the evening together on the eve of the design week's 15th edition.
"Dezeen Awards attracts some of the best names in the design industry both as judges, and as entrants," said head of Dezeen Awards Claire Barrett.
"Now in our seventh edition, it's wonderful to bring together and celebrate with this burgeoning community around the world."
