Martha Schwartz
Landscape architect Martha Schwartz is a founding partner of international landscape design company Martha Schwartz Partners (MSP).
For over 40 years Schwartz and MSP have completed projects around the globe, from site-specific art installations to public spaces, parks, masterplans and reclamation.
Schwartz is a professor at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) and is a participant of the GSD Climate Change Working Group.
She is a founding member of the Working Group of Sustainable Cities at the Harvard University Center for the Environment and a founding member of the Landscape Architecture Foundation's Working Group on Climate Change.
Schwartz has received numerous accolades including the 2020 American Society of Landscape Architects ASLA Design Medal, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award, the Women in Design Award for Excellence from the Boston Society of Architects, an Honorary Doctor of Science from the University of Ulster in Belfast and an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
