Benoist Drut
Benoist Drut is the owner of New York gallery and antique store Maison Gerard.
After joining the gallery as a partner in 1998 Drut built its reputation through several exhibitions at Maison Leleu and by participating in fairs in New York, Miami, Dubai, and Paris.
He aims for the gallery to be a place where visitors can appreciate the beauty of art objects from different cultures and epochs. Drut was one of the first to present vintage material alongside contemporary design.
Drut has helped develop the global reputations of artists including Niamh Barry, Franck Chartrain, Kiko Lopez, Achille Salvagni and Ayala Serfaty, among others
In 2018, he received the Bard Graduate Center Iris Award for outstanding dealer.
