Renaissance fixtures by Focus SB

Dezeen Showroom: British electrical hardware brand Focus SB has created a minimalist fixture made from solid brass that is formed of a square-cornered panel without any visible screws.

The Renaissance fixture can be used in conjunction with either light switches or sockets and comprises a flat, screwless plate with square corners.

A design that Focus SB says is the only one of its kind on the luxury market, Renaissance is made of precisely machined solid brass and the screwless finish is achieved with hidden fixings that allow the low-profile plate to sit almost flush with the wall.

Focus SB managing director Gary Stevens set his technical design team the task of creating Renaissance back in 2021, and said he knew it would be challenging because such a product did not yet exist.

"The concept was to design a true flat screwless plate with square corners, rather than a formed, or dished plate, or one that sits inside a frame in two pieces, or sits on a visible plastic frame, like the majority of available products on the market," said Stevens.

Renaissance is available in both standard and bespoke sizes to suit a range of project requirements and comes in a selection of metallic finishes.
