Najla El Zein has designed Us, Her, Him, a site-specific public installation located at the Flag Plaza in Doha, Qatar.

The installation, which comprises a series of sculptural benches spanning 313 metres of hand-sculpted limestone, reflects on human interactions, conveying the complexity and fundamental importance of human connections.

"Illustrating various modes and layers of interaction, such as acquaintanceship, friendship, love, introversion, confidence, fluidity and obstruction, Us, Her, Him reminds us that collectivity is the true driving force behind individual fulfilment," said Najla El Zein.

The sculptures, functional and interactive, are intended to bring together women, men and children.

This project has been longlisted in the installation design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
