The New Raw has designed Magma, a geological table made from recycled plastics.

The New Raw draws inspiration from geological phenomena and presents the Magma table, their latest exploration of natural textures and craftsmanship.

Magma highlights the potential of transforming discarded plastic into unique, long-lasting and sustainable furniture.

In addition, Magma provides a sustainable way of replacing sculptural objects made from natural stone with a stone-like materialisation of plastic waste that can also create more complex and multifunctional objects, thus creating new typologies and resulting in valuable space saving.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
