Budde and BWB have collaborated to create Veil, a multifunctional table made of anodised aluminium.
Veil Table is designed to unveil aluminium's versatility and distinctive qualities through creative exploration with the industrial technique of anodisation.
Anodising is an electrolytic oxidation process applied to aluminium that allows liquid paint to sink into the material's pores.
Besides its artistic value, the treatment makes the surface highly resistant and all components can be fully recycled.
Johannes Budde dyed the aluminium 'tablecloth' plate by hand with a multicolour gradient technique specially developed by BWB, giving the industrial table a playful twist.
This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
