BCXSY has designed Tubelight, a fluorescent tube suspension light, for Moooi.
Born from a love for fluorescent tubes, Tubelight is all about bending reality in a way that is both simple and surreal.
"The Tubelight was born from our fascination with fluorescent tubes and archetypical industrial lighting fixtures," said BCXSY.
The end result is pure and minimalistic: a modern suspension light with a twist that distinguishes it from traditional lighting fixtures.
BCXSY's Tubelight takes something recognisable and transforms it into an alienating object that is both mesmerising and intriguing.
This project has been longlisted in the lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
