L'Observatoire International has designed the lighting for Coqodaq, a new restaurant by Simon Kim.

Coqodaq, Simon Kim's new venture after his Michelin-starred COTE, brings a fresh fried chicken concept to Flatiron.

Executive chef Seung Kyung Kim leads the restaurant, blending art nouveau and Korean design in an opulent space with bespoke furniture and curated lighting.

Guests are greeted by a chic handwashing station of green soapstone and bronze, while a warm bronze mirror reflects the logo, further enhancing the ambience.

The dining area features communal and high-top tables, with 'ghost-like' arches of cast glass adding intrigue.

Integrated lighting transitions the space from lunch to late night, ensuring an engaging dining experience.

This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
