Objects of Common Interest and CC-Tapis have collaborated to create the Moiré Collection.
This collection is the result of research into the patterns that exist in natural materials.
It combines visual research and the application of new production methods to three rug designs: Zig-Zag, Splash, and Quadratic and later, with a new addition, Oblong.
The concept behind the four shapes was to create a cutout of an endless landscape, extract samples of nature and freeze these moments into an artificial object.
The collection is the juxtaposition of the contemporary with the traditional and the experimentation with artisanal craftsmanship.
This project has been longlisted in the textile design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
