Rick Tegelaar has designed The Fluff Collection for Wool & Wire.

"Collaborating with the innovative designer Rick Tegelaar, we have crafted a rug collection that transcends conventional notions of materials and artisanship, yielding an exquisitely soft outcome," said Wool & Wire.

The Fluff Collection is a story of innovation, craftsmanship, and a deep passion for natural materials, where "this unique design brings out the sheep again."

"Through meticulous evaluation of wool and sisal carpet constructions, Tegelaar devised a groundbreaking finishing process for our existing tufted structures," added Wool & Wire.

Utilising a proprietary brushing technique, Tegelaar delicately drew apart the loops of the tuft, creating an exceptionally soft texture reminiscent of sheepskin.

This project has been longlisted in the textile design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
