Heirloom has designed the RoundRound, a storage-shelf-desk system.

The RoundRound is a brutally simple, tactile and elegant shelving, desk and storage system made from solid oiled maple, a singular natural material.

"Chunky vertical uprights make the slender desks and shelving surfaces seem to float," said Heirloom. "Softened leading edges on all table/desk surfaces invite touch."

The modular system allows a seamless transition from desk to shelf to cabinet with a simple repetition of bays.

In addition, the double-height version with cabinet doors takes the system into the workshop/kitchen realm.

This project has been longlisted in the workplace design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
