Arkitito Arquitetura has created and developed Toca House in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Conceived as a house studio for a couple made up of an architect and a visual artist and designed by the residents themselves, the project arises from the fusion of architecture, engineering and art.
The hybrid program includes residential space, an art studio, a music studio and an area for receptions with friends and family, distributed over three floors, reflecting the residents' lifestyle.
The main volume emerges in the centre of a wooded plot in the bohemian neighbourhood of Vila Madalena in São Paulo, best known for its cultural influence.
This project has been longlisted in the house (urban) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
