MORE Architecture has designed the Floating Hotel in Anji County, China.

In Anji, a rural region three hours from Shanghai, MORE Architecture designed a boutique hotel that appears to float over the hills.

The building, located in the middle of the mountainous bamboo forests, establishes an immersive relationship with nature.

The hotel is set up to challenge guests to move between its different facilities through the outdoors and open corridors, constantly engaging with nature and the environment.

"By lifting the building, nature runs uninterruptedly beneath the hotel," said MORE Architecture.

This project has been longlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
