Bond Society and Calq, along with many collaborators, have redesigned an old office building, Pong, in Paris, France.

An office building constructed in 1974 by the architect Marcel Roux was recently transformed in the heart of Paris.

Its composition is clear and legible, reflecting the architectural practice of the time: a systematic facade made of precast concrete panels.

The building is composed of three distinct volumes that overlay each other by following the principle of shadow gap.

The architectural and structural composition has been preserved and enhanced to fit each programme – coliving, coworking, and sports activities – and enable them to have an outdoor space, thus reopening the building to the city.

This project has been longlisted in the mixed-use project category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
