Atelier Tao+C has developed the Naïve Bookstore interiors in Hebei, China.

Atelier Tao+C has opened up the site's double-height facade that overlooks the snow field where the Naïve Bookstore is located, which differs from a conventional city bookstore.

As a result, the lights that flow across the interior and the exterior are permeated with the neighbouring landscape.

The newly inserted frameworks, tailor-made bookshelves and seating are placed in a cosy and lightsome setting that also forms the spatial sequence of each functional area.

This project has been longlisted in the retail interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
