An emerging perfume brand, Melt Season, has established its flagship store in Shanghai, blending old Shanghai's heritage with an immersive sensory experience.

The location on Taiyuan Road underwent extensive surveys to ensure suitability, preserving the cultural context.

The design features Chinese water pine trees and a garden-style entrance, harmoniously blending with the existing architecture.

The space showcases restored timber trusses and incorporates micro-cement craftsmanship on walls.

Skilled craftsmen used micro cement for a seamless and elegant design, complemented by thoughtful lighting and oxidized brass accents.

This Eastern-inspired design preserves the building's historical elements, offering visitors a sensory journey while honouring Shanghai's heritage.

This project has been longlisted in the retail interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
