Studio Joseph has designed the new MIT Museum campus in Massachusetts, United States.
The MIT Museum is transparent about scientific progress and how it affects our planet and all living things.
The design is accessible in every sense, asking visitors to question the uses of non-human animal life, artificial intelligence, genetics, and space exploration.
As part of its goal of creating an informed public, this newly conceived museum includes 25,000 square feet of galleries on two levels, each with a distinct character and materiality linked to its scientific messaging.
What distinguishes this exhibition from other science museums is the intersection of physical and digital interactive experiences, bringing forward ethical and moral imperatives.
"Highly interactive, engaging museum galleries break the boundaries of academia by inviting the community into an open dialogue and promoting scientific inquiry in dynamic ways," said Studio Joseph.
This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
