Färg & Blanche has designed The Yellow Thread exhibition in Brussels, Belgium.
Färg & Blanche created the installation, The Yellow Thread, for the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2023.
The Council's buildings in Brussels feature five spaces for artistic and design installations developed by the member state holding the office.
For the first part of The Yellow Thread, Färg & Blanche made 27 welcoming arches on each side of the atrium, symbolising the Member States' support for each other.
Inspired by barrier posts typically used in this space, the arches represent openness instead of obstruction, transforming posts into symbols of unity.
This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
