Rug producer Christopher Farr partners with Fondation Arp to create two new pieces developed from original artworks by Swiss artist and designer Sophie Taeuber-Arp.

The two designs, titled Etude Ligne 1941 and Aubette Study, are on display as part of an installation during London Design Festival 2024.

The artwork for Etude Ligne 1941 was drawn by Taeuber-Arp on a piece of paper, with the tones used in the piece reflecting the discolouration of paper over time and the low pile representing the pencil lines.

Aubette Study CF Editions's design is informed by a gouache painting, incorporating primary colours and geometric shapes."

Christopher Farr x Fondation Arp takes place from 16 to 22 September 2024 at Christopher Farr Shoreditch Studio, 18 Calvin Street, London E1 6HF, UK.
