Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2024 architect of the year, Lagos-based architect Tosin Oshinowo from Oshinowo Studio.

Oshinowo Studio is an internationally engaged practice with an extensive portfolio of homes, pavilions, commercial and cultural venues and a large-scale humanitarian project.

They are advocates of human-centred design to meet cultural and climatic needs, with a primary aim of improving the way people live. The practice draws from traditional craft and material palettes from West Africa and beyond.

Oshinowo has recently curated the Sharjah Architecture Triennial that focused on the innovations and strategies of re-use and re-appropriation often driven by scarcity in the Global South.

Oshinowo Studio has been shortlisted in the architect of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
