Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2024 emerging designer of the year, BUDDE is a Cologne and Milan-based design studio founded in 2020 by architects Johannes Budde and Meike Papenfuss.

Emerging from architecture, the studio now works across furniture, lighting and interior design.

BUDDE's approach combines exclusive collectible designs with scalable collections, always aiming to introduce meaningful designs that provide a new take on everyday objects.

Their work is exhibited internationally, with representation by renowned galleries such as Rossana Orlandi in Milan.

In 2024, BUDDE introduced furniture collections in collaboration with Danish, German, Italian and Dutch furniture brands.

Their recently completed multi-functional anodised aluminium table was longlisted in this year's furniture design category.

BUDDE has been shortlisted in the emerging designer of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
