The Designers in Residence 2025 scholarship at EMMA Creative Centre offers three international designers the opportunity to work on their design projects in the creative hub of Pforzheim, Germany.

Designers in Residence invites young international designers to Pforzheim.

Designers in Residence is an international design scholarship in the city of Pforzheim in cooperation with Pforzheim University and the Design-Centre Baden Württemberg, granted to young design artists from the fields of jewellery, fashion, accessory, industrial, graphic and other areas of design.

Three designers are invited to work on their projects from April 1 to June 30 2025 at EMMA Creative Centre, the central platform for creative people in Pforzheim. The town of Pforzheim is characterised by an active creative scene which has a focus around design.

The faculty of design at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences has established Pforzheim as a university town with an international reputation. The Designers in Residence scholarship programme comes with the generous support of Sparkasse Pforzheim Calw, C. Hafner, Rotary Club Pforzheim-Schlossberg and yellow design.

What does the scholarship include?

The scholarship is fully funded and includes use of fully equipped workshop workplaces and co-working spaces in the EMMA Creative Centre and free accommodation for the period from April 1 to June 30, 2025.

In addition, each scholarship holder will receive a monthly support of 1,000 euros together with travel costs. A special allowance will be made available for material costs. The results of the scholarship will be presented in an exhibition at the EMMA Creative Centre.
