Designed for young professionals of all urban backgrounds, the course uses Rotterdam as a laboratory for research into issues that are relevant all over the world.

By looking at local urban phenomena, while zooming out to global tendencies we will see how the future is already here, at our feet and in front of our eyes.

Through lectures, excursions and workshops, participants will deepen their knowledge and are challenged to further develop their own stance on topics like migration, climate change and right to the city.

The programme begins with an exploration of Rotterdam's visible and hidden dynamics, followed by three thematic blocks.

These delve into the lives of temporary migrants, the port's global ecological impact and the possibilities of urban protest.

The programme operates on a four-day workweek (Monday to Thursday) and costs €1,500. Applications, including a motivation letter, CV and portfolio, must be submitted by 28 February 2025.

A minimum of eight and a maximum of 20 participants will be admitted – send your application to [email protected].
