The Comet has landed at Cowdray Park Cutting edge design collides with tradition to reinvent the Season at the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Polo Tournament

The Veuve Clicquot Comet

Commissioned by Design Research Studio under the creative direction of internationally renowned designer Tom Dixon, the Veuve Clicquot Comet adds the element of surprise to the pinnacle event of the British Season Continuing Veuve Clicquot’s mission to innovate and re-energise the Season through cutting edge design collaborations, the Veuve Clicquot Comet, a reinterpretation of classic summer item the gazebo, offers Polo aficionados a stylish experience at the Final of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Polo Tournament, and an exclusive preview of the Design object of the Season.

Inspired by the iconic champagne’s comet logo, the Comet is a natural evolution of the designer’s work, the Comet Lamp presented at Milan’s Salone del Mobile in April. Tom Dixon said “I had a vision of sitting inside a comet drinking champagne! Foolish, it’s true, but from a construction point of view, the spherical shape is extremely rational in terms of structural integrity, which allows me to use a recycled and recyclable, lightweight material for these temporary pleasure domes, which will look like Veuve Clicquot Comets that have crashed into the polo field”.

Audacious in its conception, the Veuve Clicquot Comet is filled with the finest of fixtures and fittings offering a dynamic design experience to heighten the day’s enjoyment.

Situated on the lawn outside the Veuve Clicquot bar to enter and enjoy, and behind the goal on display to admire. The Comets have limited space, so come early to secure your place, and enjoy Polo watching at its most indulgent!
