Weld Vases by Phil Cuttance
London designer Phil Cuttance created this range of vases by welding together discarded ABS plastic offcuts.
Called Weld Vases, the pieces are made of ABS sheets discarded by a local factory, joined by hand through hot-air welding.

Material: recycled ABS plastic sheet, ABS weld rod.
A departure from machine-made mass replicated plastic, the Weld vases are each individually hand-crafted and idiosyncratic, and therefore possess an inherent value unusual for plastic goods.
Hot air welding, a process commonly used to repair broken plastic parts, joins the thin plastic shapes together creating strong and decorative
edges.
All of the plastic used in the vases is discarded off-cut ABS plastic from a local London plastic fabricator, and each vase is individually numbered on the base.
The vases are available in three tonal combinations.
