Max Lamb
A former protege of Tom Dixon, London designer Max Lamb has built a reputation for tactile products that focus on exploring the possibilities of the materials they're made from.
Interestingly it is one of Lamb's earliest designs – the Pewter Stool he first created in 2006 – that remains his most popular project on Dezeen. Lamb cast the object in sand on a Cornish beach, documenting the process and creating one of the first designs to go viral.
His most viewed new design was the Planks collection for Benchmark, a series of simple wooden shelves, tables and benches with concealed storage.
