Don't Move Improve
As house prices in London continue to soar, many of the city's residents are opting to renovate or extend their properties rather than buying again. The Don't Move Improve awards, organised by New London Architecture, recognises the best examples of these projects each year – providing inspiration for others looking to do the same.
As media partners for the awards, Dezeen was first to announce the 2016 winners, which included a 1960s terraced house revamped using glazed tiles and an elaborate staircase by Archmongers.
We also revealed the shortlist of London home extensions in the running for prizes before the final announcement, and published a call for entries to the 2016 programme as it kicked off.
