Diller Scofidio + Renfro

The last 12 months have been especially fruitful for architectural powerhouse Diller Scofidio + Renfro. The New York City firm unveiled one of its highest-profile projects to date – the highly photogenic Broad Museum, which heralded the start of an architecture boom in Los Angeles.

The studio, which was previously best known for its work on the infinitely popular High Line park, also completed a number of other important new US buildings, including a new home for the Berkeley Art Museum and the Pacific Film Archive and an art department building for Stanford University.

The firm is currently working on a controversial expansion for MoMA, which triggered the destruction of Tod Williams and Billie Tsien's Museum of American Folk Art in midtown Manhattan.
