Wes Anderson

American director Wes Anderson, 47, has developed a distinct visual style that makes movies including The Grand Budapest Hotel immediately identifiable.

Now he has turned his hand to interior design, earning himself a place on our Hot List as a result.

His highly aesthetic and stylised approach to storytelling attracted the attention of fashion house Prada, which added him to its list of collaborators alongside Rem Koolhaas' firm OMA.

This led to his involvement in the OMA-designed Fondazione Prada in Milan, which was one of the most high-profile architecture openings of last year and included Anderson's first real-life public interior: Bar Luce, which takes its cues from classic Milanese cafes.
