Designed in Hackney is a Dezeen initiative to celebrate the incredible diversity of design talent in the east London borough of Hackney.
Designed in Hackney will showcase world-class architecture and design created in the borough, which is one of the five host boroughs for the London 2012 Olympic Games as well as being home to Dezeen's offices.
Blog
Each day until the games this summer, online design and architecture magazine Dezeen will publish buildings, interiors and objects that have been designed in Hackney, creating a unique guide to the borough's rich and diverse design community. You can find all of our Designed in Hackney stories here.
If you're a Hackney designer or architect and you'd like your work to be featured on Dezeen as part of the project, please drop the Dezeen editorial team a line with "Designed in Hackney" in the subject line.
Showcase
Writer and curator Beatrice Galilee will curate a showcase of some of the best design the borough has to offer at Hackney House, Hackney Council’s temporary events and media centre on Shoreditch High Street. Click here to find out more.
