This renovation project located in the city centre of Vinh, Vietnam, includes a top floor café and a rooftop club.
The challenge was to create an impact on the building by inserting a new structure using local materials. Vo Trong Nghia Architects chose bamboo as it is easy to access in Vietnam's tropical climate, which reduces construction time and budget. Using bamboo in this project creates an essence of “lightness”, can be lifted up by a few workers and easily transported to the highest floor by a crane.
