Winner: Workplace Design of the Year 2018. Run is a range of multi-use furniture pieces designed by London studio Industrial Facility for Emeco.

Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of Industrial Facility collaborated with American furniture company Emeco to produce the range of desks and tables based on canteen tables and park benches.

The designers aimed to create a collection of furniture that would bring people together, and so looked to the tables and chairs used in communal areas such as canteens and parks for inspiration.

"Run effortlessly finds balance in both indoor and outdoor landscapes suited for meeting, eating, learning, sharing and working. Run is shaped to acknowledge the benefits of being around others, so tables are welcoming and useful, made to work purposefully well with many of Emeco's existing chairs and stools," said Hecht.

Made of responsibly selected, sustainable materials and engineered to last by Emeco, Run is right for a multitude of uses at home and hospitality.

Judges comments: "This design brings the familiarity of the home into the workplace, reflecting changes in work culture and encouraging versatility."
