Giulio Ridolfo
Textile designer Giulio Ridolfo is a colour advisor for multiple furniture, clothing and interior companies.
Italian colourist Ridolfo worked as a fashion designer after graduating from the Domus Academy in Milan in 1985. He then became a colour advisor, developing advance colour systems and applying them to textiles, which are used by industry-leading brands including Moroso and Vitra. He produced Canvas, one of Kvadrat's most successful fabrics.
Ridolfo finds inspiration for his textile designs in art, photography and fashion. He combines elements from patterns, colours, textures and images to create innovative textiles.
In 2010, he collaborated with Patricia Urquiola on an installation titled The Dwelling Lab for Salone del Mobile Milano.
