Imogen Heap
London-based Imogen Heap is a recording artist and creative entrepreneur.
Heap has written and produced four solo albums, as well as numerous film and theatre scores. Five years ago, the five-time Grammy nominated musician designed experimental Mi.Mu gloves that turn gestures into music. These awarded her an honorary doctorate of technology, alongside the coveted Ivor Novello Award, two Grammy wins, Artist and Manager Award, and the MPG Award for Inspiration in 2018.
In 2014, she produced using blockchain technology and initiated Mycelia, a vision for a new ecosystem of music. The Mycelia Creative Passport programme provides an ID for musicians to connect digitally with the music industry. The programme aims to provide musicians with digital tools to help their careers, including an improved payment flow system and and the means to acquire verified music rights.
Following the success of sellout shows and three world tours, Heap embarked on a year-long worldwide tour to promote the possibilities of music and technology.
