Safia Qureshi
London-based Safia Qureshi is founder and CEO of circular-economy service CupClub.
Qureshi graduated from University College London with an architecture degree before completing her masters at the Royal College of Art. She was lead architect at architectural studio Sheppard Robson for over three years, designing large-scale commercial developments, residential and mixed-use projects.
In 2015 Qureshi started London-based creative design agency Studio [D] Tale. The studio's work focuses on social and environmental issues within emerging and established markets. Studio [D] Tale runs workshops and gives lectures at multiple London universities including Central Saint Martins, London Metropolitan University, Ravensbourne and The Bartlett architecture school.
Qureshi launched CupClub, a circular-economy service that aims to eliminate single-use coffee cups, in 2018. She takes also part in the RIBA network of professional mentors for students studying architecture and encourages other designers, technologists and founders to think about the circular economy within their own practice.
