Winner: Retail interior of the year 2019. Le Cube, an exhibition featuring a curation of L.A. fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products at the Le Bon Marché department store, was unveiled as the centrepiece of the Los Angeles Rive Gauche exhibition in Paris.

Le Cube, set in this context, acted as both a stage and a sculpture. Designed with internal lighting and sound, it featured live skating performances within its elevated full pipe. When not being activated, it reflected the architecture and atmosphere of the historic Le Bon Marché.

Judges comments: "This project with its subtle hint of the surreal is different, playful and essentially a non-commercial project in a retail environment that addresses all ages,'' said the judges. They also admired "the skill of design and the different techniques and tools that were used to realise the project".
