Maria Cheung
Maria Cheung is the head of interior design at London-based design practice Squire & Partners.
Cheung taught at Chelsea College of Art after studying architecture at University of Cambridge and the Architectural Association. She then joined Squire & Partners in 2007, where she founded the interiors team and is a director.
The firm’s projects includes the Agriculture Technology Centre in Cambodia, a co-working space for Ministry of Sound and the Lexicon tower in Islington, London. Cheung is currently currently working on residential interiors at The Broadway in Westminster.
Cheung's design portfolio also includes bespoke installations and products, including furniture, lighting and leather accessories.
Cheung strives to create beautiful spaces that transcend their functional requirements, to surprise and enhance the user’s experience. She recently described her career progression for the Dezeen Jobs careers guide.
