Michael Anastassiades
London-based lighting designer Michael Anastassiades is the founder of his eponymous brand and studio.
After training as a civil engineer at Imperial College London, Anastassiades completed a masters degree in industrial design at the Royal College of Art. He then founded his studio in 1994, designing products with various manufacturers including Flos, Herman Miller, Bang & Olufsen and Cassina.
Anastassiades' work is featured in permanent collections at the V&A, New York’s Museum Of Modern Art and the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna.
The designer recently presented a collection of his work from the past 12 years for the Things That Go Together exhibition at the Nicosia Municipal Arts Centre in his native Cyprus.
