Natsai Audrey Chieza
London-based Natsai Audrey Chieza is founder and director of Faber Futures.
Faber Futures is an award-winning multidisciplinary design agency that aims to empower industry with research and design for an impactful transition towards sustainable futures.
The agency's innovative design solutions include pioneering the design application of microbial pigment dyes for textile in Project Coelicolor. The chemical-free, water-saving biofabrication system won an Index Award in 2019.
Chieza has exhibited work at prestigious venues, including the Vitra Design Museum, the V&A and centre Pompidou. Her work has also been acquired by the Cooper Hewitt and sits permanently in the Forbes Pigment Collection at the Harvard Art Museums.
She is on the founding and curatorial team of the Ginkgo Creative Residency in Boston and has held teaching positions at the Bartlett School of Architecture and Central Saint Martins.
An international speaker on emergent futures, Chieza spoke on the post-plastic materials panel at Dezeen Day 2019.
