Pieke Bergmans
Dutch artist Pieke Bergmans is the founder of Amsterdam studio Atelier Pieke Bergmans.
With work that straddles art and design, Bergmans specialises in sculptural design and installation art with a focus on craftsmanship. She directs the production process of her designs, the vast majority of which are handmade.
The designer's projects include hand-blown glass neon lights and the VAPOR lighting collection, made from blown-plastic.
Her work has been exhibited at museums, fairs and institutes, including the V&A, Stedelijk Museum, Salone del Mobile, Dutch Design Week and Venice Biennale.
