Japan's first Ace Hotel has been designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and design studio Commune in Kyoto.
Ace Hotel Kyoto is a monument to the city's abundance of art, ever-evolving culture, respect for nature and revered elevation of craft.
The hotel lobby includes an Ace Shop with bespoke goods. The hotel also has an art gallery, three restaurants led by award-winning culinary partners Wes Avila, Naomi Pomeroy and Marc Vetri, and a verdant courtyard garden.
This project has been longlisted in the hotel and short stay interior project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
