Hello Wood has built a structure that protects and frames one of Budapest's most-loved monuments.

The Vörösmarty statue – depicting one of the most important poets of Hungary – represents the idea that even in difficult times there are people and values capable of forging people into one.

Instead of the most frequent statue conservation solutions – such as plastic or textile covers – a pop-up structure was created around the artwork to protect it from the damaging effects of winter weather.

This project has been longlisted in the installation design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
