ACME converted a former oast house into a modern family home in Kent, comprising five conical towers clad in terracotta and grey tiles.
The new home is situated within the rolling landscape and apple orchards of Kent.
The towers are organised around a central volume used as an intermediary space. The low-energy home features round rooms and high ceilings.
The property has been created for a family that moved to Kent ten years ago and fell in love with the intimacy and idiosyncrasies of living in circular spaces over time.
This project has been longlisted in the rural house category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
