Cycling Through Trees is a tight double-circle cycle path with iconic allures that runs through the crowns of the trees in the Netherlands.
The path is 700-metre-long and rises gradually with a slope of maximum 4 percent to a height of 10 meters.
The columns of the bicycle bridge in corten steel are alternately placed 1, 2 and 3-meters apart and symbolise the straight trunks of the pine trees. This ensures that the construction blends nicely into the environment.
This project has been longlisted in the infrastructure project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
