Longlisted for emerging interior designer of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, Deferrari + Modesti is a design studio founded in 2010 by Javier Deferrari and Lavinia Modesti.

The pair met each other working in Stefano Boeri's studio in Milan. They have since gained experience, collaborating with designers such as Enzo Mari and Manuel Gausa. The studio deals with interiors, exhibitions and design, with experiences in Italy and abroad.

The designers work on projects of different scales and types with a holistic approach. Their research ranges from the identification of new spatial solutions to the study of materials, the development of every construction detail, each time developing a unique concept with its own and distinct poetics.

Deferrari + Modesti has been longlisted in the emerging interior designer of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
