Van Eijk & Van der Lubbe created the interiors for a hospital in Utrecht, where the design actively participates in the rehabilitation process of the patients.

The studio aims to show that optimal functioning of care processes and wellbeing don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Unlike similar healing environments, this care hotel is designed from the user's perspective. The design strives for an active attitude from the patients, with the comfort of a four-star hotel and a natural and personal atmosphere.

From small interior accessories to large spatial gestures, everything is focussed on the process of healing.

This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
