Designed by EmanuelHendry, Haldon Viewpoints frames the forest view overlooking the river Exe and Teign valleys.
The viewpoints have been sensitively placed in the woodland setting, that already attracts 430,000 visitors a year.
The project intends to support elderly and younger visitors in particular, encouraging more visitors from those two demographics by providing physical activities and social opportunities.
The structures are fully accessible, with ample meeting and circulation space. They are also relocatable, weatherproof, non-detracting from and complimentary to the forest environment.
This project has been longlisted in the small building category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
