Hatch Cork is a new student living brand that combines student accommodation with interactive and social spaces.

Kingston Lafferty Design was appointed to define the brand's spatial identity and tasked with creating an impactful, experiential collaborative space, alongside comfortable living quarters. The carefully considered design encompasses reception, co-working, chill out, study, canteen and interactive spaces to provide inhabitants with an exciting environment.

The concept stems from the name Hatch – the transformative metamorphosis that happens when students leave home for the first time and become independent adults. The studio drew inspiration for the spatial layout from the hatching and cracking of an egg.

This project has been longlisted in the hotel and short stay interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
