Montalba Architects has transformed an unused car park into a large outdoor garden, which cuts through meditation company Headspace's office in Santa Monica.

A primary focus for the studio was to incorporate the industrial vernacular of the site with the company's core values of being focused, mindful and dedicated.

The challenge was to find unique ways to bring Headspace's new office to life by seamlessly juxtaposing group and individual spaces.

To honour the core values of the company, small spaces were strategically placed throughout the space, where employees could find a moment of personal solace that wouldn't deter from the surrounding communal environment.

This project has been longlisted in the large workspace interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
